Kuwait will not normalize relations with Israel until Palestinian issue is resolved: Foreign Minister

Kuwait City (Uttam Hindu News): Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Sheikh Salem Abdullah Al-Jaber Al-Sabah once again said in his statement that Kuwait will not normalize relations with Israel until a Palestinian state is established in the future in line with international resolutions.

According to the report of Xinhua news agency, he made this comment at a press conference held at the headquarters of the Ministry of External Affairs on Sunday. The minister said it is his responsibility to maintain Kuwait’s security and interests abroad while maintaining friendly, brotherly and cooperative relations with countries.

He said, “The Palestinian issue is our first issue. “Kuwait has never deviated from its path.” He said that the war Israel has waged against Gaza is retaliatory, not defensive. The Kuwaiti top diplomat called for an immediate end to hostilities in Gaza, providing aid to the besieged territory and ultimately resolving the Palestinian issue through the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the 1967 borders.
