In this new year, many holidays will be given to government and private sector employees. Meanwhile, the Central Government has also released the list of holidays for the year 2024 for the central employees.

All gazetted holiday celebration festivals and original festivals have been included in this list. Gazetted optional and compulsory holidays are included in this list of holidays.

According to the information, Central Government employees get 17 gazetted holidays as per the brands in the office from July 3, 2023. Apart from this, they are also given many optional leaves. According to this office memorandum, in the year 2024, all the Central Government officers located in Delhi and New Delhi will be given leave on the holidays given as per the order. Employees will also be given the facility to choose two optional holidays.

Let us tell you that the optional holidays include Holi, Janmashtami, Ramnavmi, Mahashivratri, Ganesh Chaturthi, Makar Sankranti, Rath Utsav, Onam, Pongal, Basant Panchami, Baisakhi, Gudi Padwa, Chhath Puja and Karva Chauth.

These are mandatory holidays

Employees will be given leave on Republic Day, Independence Day, Gandhi Jayanti, Buddha Purnima, Christmas, Dussehra, Diwali, Good Friday, Guru Nanak Jayanti, Eid, Eid Ul Juha, Mahavir Jayanti, Muharram, Eid-e-Milad.
