Major suicide attack in Pakistan’s Pakhtunkhwa province, 9 soldiers killed

islamabad (Best Hindu News): Nine Pakistani soldiers were killed and five others injured in a suicide attack in Bannu district of the country’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province.
A motorcycle-borne suicide bomber blew himself up near an army convoy in Jani Khel area of the province’s Bannu district on Thursday, the army’s media wing Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement. Geo News quoted the statement as saying that the security forces have cordoned off the area and launched an operation to eliminate the terrorist.
The Pakistan Army said that the security forces are determined to eliminate the menace of terrorism and such sacrifice of soldiers will further strengthen this resolve. Caretaker Prime Minister Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar said he was saddened by the death of 9 brave soldiers in a cowardly terrorist act, in which many people were injured.
According to the army, six soldiers and four militants were killed in clashes in South Waziristan district of KP province early last week.
