Suspended license after Indian’s death
The helicopter license of this Manang Air was suspended after the death of an Indian Kailash Mansarovar pilgrim in the year 2018. The pilgrim died in Hilsa area when he was hit by the rear blade of the helicopter on the helipad. However, the suspension was temporary. The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal had informed that Manang Air had received the license to fly commercially after obtaining the Air Operator Certificate (AOC). AOC is the proof that comes from the state. Under this, it is proved that the operator is capable of meeting the safety objectives under International Civil Aviation Organization conditions at a minimum level.
