Jaipur: Under the first phase of the Indira Gandhi Smart Phone Scheme by the Government of Rajasthan, the beneficiaries will not have to stand in the queue to get the smart phone, but the Information and Technology Department will complete the process by calling and messaging each eligible beneficiary on the registered mobile from Jan Aadhaar. Information will be given. District Collector Prakash Rajpurohit said that under the first phase of the scheme, camps are being organized at a total of 22 places in Jaipur and Jaipur rural districts till September 30. While 6 camps are being organized at the district headquarters, 16 camps are being organized at the Panchayat Samiti headquarters.
Mr. Rajpurohit told that in the first phase, girl students studying in government schools from 9th to 12th class, girl students studying in government higher education institutions, widows, women receiving single women pension, those who have completed 100 working days in MNREGA in the year 2022-23 Smart phones will be given to women heads of households, and women heads of families who have completed 50 working days in the Indira Gandhi Urban Employment Guarantee Scheme in the year 2022-23. Rs 675 will be transferred for mobile phone and Rs 675 for SIM card with internet data plan. In April 2024 and April 2025 also, Rs 900 per year will be transferred by the state government for internet.
