The FBI said anyone with information about Bhagat, his whereabouts or his disappearance should call the FBI Newark or the Jersey City Police Department. “A reward of up to $10,000 may be offered for information leading to his location or recovery,” the statement said last week.
Who is Mayushi Bhagat?
Mayushi Bhagat was born in July 1994 in India. She was in America on a student visa. Like hundreds of other Indian students, Mayushi also traveled to the United States to pursue a career in tech. In 2016, she enrolled at the University of New Hampshire and later transferred to the New York Institute of Technology. The FBI said in an official statement that she speaks English, Hindi and Urdu. According to multiple detectives, he has friends in South Plainfield, New Jersey.
Bhagat’s height is described as 5’10”, he has black hair and brown eyes. She came to the United States in 2016 on an F1 student visa. He was included in the FBI’s most wanted kidnappers and missing persons list last year. In July last year, the FBI had added Bhagat to its “missing persons” list and sought the public’s assistance with information about him.
According to Times of India, Mayushi’s father had chatted with her through WhatsApp at 12.30 am on May 1. She said she was fine but she “didn’t want to be bothered.” However, she never returned home.
