New Delhi, April 10 (HS). Mixed signals are being received from the global market today. Wall Street indices closed on a strong note during the last session. Dow Johns Futures also seems to be trading with gains today. On the other hand, the European market remained under continuous pressure during the last session. Today the Asian market seems to be trading generally with gains.
Before the release of retail inflation data in America, investors were seen trading cautiously, due to which the Wall Street indices managed to close with a slight gain. The S&P 500 index closed at 5,209.91 points, up 0.14 percent during the previous session. Similarly, Nasdaq jumped 0.32 percent and ended the last session’s trading at the level of 16,306.64 points. Dow Johns Futures is also currently seen trading at the level of 38,929.77 points with a rise of 0.12 percent.
Unlike the US market, the European market remained under continuous pressure during the last session. The FTSE index fell 0.11 percent to close at 7,934.79 points. Similarly, the CAC index ended the last session’s trading at the level of 8,049.17 points with a decline of 0.87 percent. Apart from this, DAX index closed at the level of 18,076.69 points with a weakness of 242.28 points or 1.34 percent.
Asian markets seem to be trading generally strong today. Out of 9 markets in Asia, the indices of 4 remain in the green mark with a rise and 2 indices remain in the red mark with a decline. The Straits Times Index, Kospi Index and Jakarta Composite Index are not trading today. Nikkei index is currently trading at the level of 39,627.37 points with a weakness of 145.76 points or 0.37 percent. Similarly, Shanghai Composite Index has fallen by 0.34 percent to the level of 3,038.25 points.
On the other hand, GIFT Nifty is trading at the level of 22,806.50 points with a gain of 0.21 percent. Similarly, Taiwan Weighted Index has reached the level of 20,818.50 points with an increase of 0.11 percent. There has been a big jump in the Hang Seng Index today. At present this index has jumped by 316.47 points or 1.88 percent and has reached the level of 17,144.54 points. Apart from this, the SET Composite Index is trading at the level of 1,404.36 points with a rise of 0.23 percent.
