South Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SGCCI) President Ramesh Vaghasia and Honorary Treasurer Kiran Thummar met Indian Consul General Somnath Ghosh in Chicago, USA as part of SGCCI Global Connect Mission 84. The objective of this meeting was to brainstorm export opportunities and promote business for entrepreneurs from Surat, Gujarat and India.
The Chamber President gave a detailed presentation about Mission 84, highlighting the efforts being made to achieve the US$ 5 trillion economy and US$ 1 trillion export target set by the Honorable Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi. He also informed about the online international platform created under Mission 84 to connect 84,000 Indian entrepreneurs with 84,000 businessmen around the world.
Consul General Somnath Ghosh appreciated Mission 84 and said that it can play an important role in promoting exports from India. He also stressed on improving the quality and commitment of products exported from India.
In the meeting, export opportunities for entrepreneurs from Surat, Gujarat and India to Chicago were discussed. The Chamber President proposed holding a joint virtual meeting with Chicago businessmen, which was accepted by the Consul General.
This meeting is an important initiative under SGCCI Global Connect Mission 84, which will help in enhancing export opportunities for entrepreneurs of Surat, Gujarat and India.
