On cabinet decisions, Union Minister Anurag Thakur said that dearness allowance for central government employees and dearness relief for pensioners was increased by 4%. The DA increase will be applicable from July 1, 2023. With this 4 percent increase, dearness allowance will increase from 42 percent to 46 percent.

Before Diwali, the Central Government has given a big gift to its employees. The Cabinet has approved 4 percent increase in dearness allowance for central government employees. On cabinet decisions, Union Minister Anurag Thakur said that dearness allowance for central government employees and dearness relief for pensioners was increased by 4%. The DA increase will be applicable from July 1, 2023. With this 4 percent increase, dearness allowance will increase from 42 percent to 46 percent.

Dearness allowance for employees and pensioners is decided every month on the basis of the latest Consumer Price Index for Industrial Workers (CPI-IW) released by the Labor Bureau. Earlier, Diwali bonus for Group C and non-gazetted Group B level officers, including paramilitary forces, was approved by the government. For 2022-2023, the Finance Ministry has set a limit of ₹7,000 for calculating non-productivity linked bonus (ad-hoc bonus) for central government employees.

Union Minister Prahlad Patel said that World Food India is going to be organized in Delhi between 3-5 November. President Draupadi Murmu will participate in its closing ceremony and the Ministry has put forward a proposal to the Prime Minister for the inauguration and I am confident that it will be accepted. Anurag Thakur said in Delhi that the Union Cabinet has approved the Minimum Support Price (MSP) for Rabi crops for 2024-25.
