Former Pakistan minister Nawaz Sharif said on Wednesday that the priority of his party-led upcoming government will be to fix the deteriorating economy as all the problems of the cash-strapped country are linked to the economic crisis. Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supreme leader Sharif, after reaching Parliament House for the first time since February 8, told the media that the government will try to fix the economy so that everything will be fine. Nawaz Sharif, who named his younger brother Shehbaz Sharif as the prime minister of the coalition government after the dramatic developments, also said he wants every National Assembly, Senate and prime minister to complete their constitutional tenure.

Earlier, PML-N was welcomed by prime ministerial candidate Shehbaz Sharif and other members of his party as he arrived at the National Assembly for the parliamentary meeting. According to Geo News report, the PML-N’s strategy on matters related to the inaugural session of the NA to be held tomorrow will be discussed in the meeting chaired by party supremo Nawaz Sharif.
With the help of international donors and friendly countries, Pakistan has been saved from possible default but its economy is still in crisis. It is believed that after the current package, another IMF program will be needed. The country’s economy has been in a state of rapid decline for the past several years, putting untold pressure on the poor masses in the form of uncontrolled inflation, making it almost impossible for a large number of people to make ends meet.
