Neal Mohan of Indian origin will be the new CEO of YouTube

New Delhi: Indian-origin Neil Mohan will be the next Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the world’s largest video sharing platform YouTube. With this, another person of Indian origin will occupy the top position of leading technology companies. Indian-origin Sundar Pichai is also on the post of CEO of Google, the company that owns YouTube. Microsoft chief Satya Nadella, IBM chief Arvind Krishna and Abode chief Shantanu Narayan also have ties to India.
Mohan, who joined Google in 2008, was appointed Chief Product Officer of YouTube in 2015. While in this position, he brought shorts, music and subscription offers to the YouTube platform. Prior to Google, he was associated with DoubleClick for about six years but it was acquired by Google in the year 2008. After graduating from Stanford University, he started his career in advertising and product sector. With Mohan taking charge of YouTube, the world’s largest technology company will be headed by a person of Indian origin. Nokia Inc CEO Rajeev Suri and Mastercard CEO Ajaypal Singh Banga were also born and brought up in India.
