Pudhari Online Desk : A fire broke out at a four-storey hostel in Wellington, New Zealand. About 10 people have died in this. The same incident happened on Monday night. On getting information about the fire, rescue teams and fire brigade teams reached the spot and started the work of extinguishing the fire. The rescue team has started the search for the dead people.
The fire broke out on the third floor of the four-storey Loafers Lodge Hostel located in Wellington at 12:30. Further reasons are not yet clear. There is information that at least 20 people are missing due to accident. Wellington Fire and Emergency District Administrator Nick Pyatt said that about 52 people were trapped in the residence. Rescue teams are still searching for them. It would have been heartening to know about the fire at about midnight, he said.
According to the New Zealand Herald, the fire started almost overnight, killing 10 people. The country’s Prime Minister Chris Hipkins told the AM Morning News program that according to him the death of 6 people has been confirmed and he has expressed the possibility of increasing the figure further.
