Nigeria Violence: Thousands displaced
The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) said that thousands of people were displaced and hundreds of houses destroyed due to the violence. “A total of 3,683 (people) have been displaced in Amhala,” NEMA regional coordinator Eugene Nylong told AFP, adding that emergency aid had reached Garjun. More than 720 houses have been partially or completely destroyed, he said.

Community leader Guankat said that 57 injured people are undergoing treatment at Lokanwar Hospital, while NEMA’s Nyelong said that about 216 people were injured in the attack.
