Nothing is releasing iMessage for Android phones in select countries

san francisco (Uttam Hindu News): Global consumer electronics brand Nothing has added iMessage functionality to phones (2) through a new “Nothing Chats” app powered by messaging platform Sunbird. The feature will be available for users in North America, EU, and UK starting November 17.
According to the company, Nothing Chats is a first-of-its-kind app developed in partnership with Sunbird that allows you to send messages from blue bubbles to iMessage users on your Nothing phone. At Nothing If messaging services are dividing phone users, we want to break down those barriers, the company said in an update. If you’re in the US, Canada, UK or EU and have a phone (2), you can download the Nothing Chats app on the Play Store starting Friday.
Nothing said, the app is currently in beta and we’re working hard to bring Nothing Chats to more places. Nothing Chats Phone (2) will allow users to send iMessages on the iPhone. This is the first time that an Android OEM has done something like this in a device. According to the company’s website, “Nothing is the first mobile company to offer a solution to one of the biggest barriers between Android and iOS users.”
If you’re a Phone(2) user in one of the select countries where Nothing Chat is available, log in with your existing Apple ID username or create a new account to start sending and receiving Blue Bubbles. “Nothing Chats is built on Sunbird’s platform and all chats are encrypted, which means neither we nor Sunbird can access your messages,” the company said.
