Oil and oilseed prices improved, groundnut unchanged

Amid increasing festive demand, there was an improvement in the wholesale prices of most of the oilseeds in the country’s oil and oilseeds markets on Saturday. Except groundnut oil and oilseeds, the prices of other oilseeds closed with strength. Market sources said that even after the festivals, the demand will gradually increase further. India is a major importer of edible oils in the world and due to reduced imports in the month of September, the prices of edible oils abroad have also fallen slightly. Sources said that the situation of mustard and groundnut is now a little different from other oils. But now even if the production of cottonseed or soybean increases a little among the remaining oilseeds in the country, it will not have any impact on the market and the market will run according to the imported oils.

That is, in the situation of the year 90-92, there was a rise and fall in oil prices in the market according to the crop production, which has now completely reversed. Now the market will run according to imported oils. Sources said the Chicago Exchange was strong last night which helped in improving oil prices.
