National President of All India Jewelers and Goldsmiths Federation, Pankaj Arora told ABP News that a business worth Rs 30 thousand crore was done across the country on Dhanteras. The sale of gold and gold jewelery on Dhanteras has been worth approximately Rs 27 thousand crores. Whereas silver has done a business of Rs 3000 crore. Earlier, during the year 2022, gold and silver worth Rs 25 thousand crores were traded.

This gave a boost to shopping on Dhanteras, which is considered the most auspicious day in the Hindu calendar for purchasing precious metals and other items.
