Reliance Industries director Nita Ambani described Reliance founder Dhirubhai Ambani as her mentor. The occasion was ‘Parampara’, an annual festival to be held at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre. Tradition exhibition has been organized as a mark of respect to the gurus. On this occasion, Nita Ambani also congratulated the countrymen on Guru Purnima. The stalwarts of Indian classical music – Padma Vibhushan Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia and Pandit Kartik Kumar along with their disciples Rakesh Chaurasia and Niladri Kumar were present at the inauguration of the exhibition.

Addressing an audience of around 2000 present at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre, Nita Ambani remembered her father-in-law Dhirubhai as a simple-hearted guru. “Pappa (Dhirubhai Ambani) used to ask questions in his simple style, sometimes I used to get scared by those questions, but today I feel that those questions only taught me the way of life. Dhirubhai gave me a big vision. Taught me that every dream can be fulfilled on the basis of discipline and hard work. He also taught me to value relationships.
‘Three Generations – One Legacy’
Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia’s 85th birthday was also on Saturday. He made it memorable by playing the tune of Happy Birthday on the flute. The audience stood up and greeted him. The tradition celebration with ‘Three Generations – One Legacy’, will continue on Sunday as well. It will bring together Padma Vibhushan Ustad Amjad Ali Khan and his sons Amaan Ali Bangash and Ayaan Ali Bangash as well as the maestro’s grandsons – 10-year-old twins Johan and Abir Ali Bangash.
