Pakistan agitated by G20 meeting in Srinagar, Bilawal Bhutto reached PoK, spewed venom against India

The G20 meeting is being held in Srinagar, the capital of Jammu and Kashmir. Representatives of different nations are also reaching there regarding this. However, Pakistan’s anger about this is clearly visible. Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, furious with the G20 in Srinagar, is on a tour of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). Bilawal Bhutto reached PoK’s Muzaffarabad city on Sunday on a three-day visit and called the G20 meeting in Srinagar a violation of international law. He said that India cannot suppress the voice of Kashmiris through a conference. Bhutto said that by violating the UN resolution, it is not possible for India to play an effective role in the world.

The Pakistani Foreign Minister said that at a time when India is holding the G20 meeting in Kashmir, he has been invited to address the gathering in PoK. The minister said that at a time when India is holding a conference in Kashmir, I have been invited to address the PoK assembly. Bhutto will address a special session of the PoK assembly on Monday and take part in a protest rally in Bagh on Tuesday. Pakistan has called the decision to hold the G20 Tourism Working Group meeting in Kashmir a “self-serving move”. Earlier this month, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari attended the Foreign Ministers’ meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in Goa.

The third meeting of the G20 Tourism Working Group is starting in Srinagar from Monday. According to officials, the three-day meeting will see the highest participation of foreign delegates as compared to the previous two meetings. This is the first international meeting being held in Srinagar after the abrogation of Article 370 of the Constitution that gave special status to Jammu and Kashmir in August 2019 and bifurcation of the erstwhile state into two Union Territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. Officials said representatives of several countries of the G20 group arrived at the Srinagar International Airport in the morning by a chartered flight amid tight security. The G20 ‘logo’ has been painted on walls and hoardings at several places along the route to welcome the delegates. Strict security arrangements have been made to ensure the safe conduct of the event, officials said.
