The report states that Section 298-C of the PPC elaborates on the punishment for a person from the Ahmadiyya community calling himself a Muslim or propagating his religion.

The Ahmadiyya community of Pakistan has been a victim of exploitation and oppression for a long time. Attacks on community members and their property, places of worship and cemeteries continue. Not only this, sharing Quranic verses on social media or writing kalma on grave stones in Pakistan can land Ahmadiyya Muslims in legal trouble. From 2010 to 2022, 28 incidents of desecration of Ahmadiyya graves have been recorded in Pakistan.
