The Monday-Thursday talks will be the second round of the Pakistan-US mid-level defense dialogue after the first round was held in Pakistan in January 2021, the statement said. It said, “The inter-agency delegation to Pakistan, led by the Chief of the General Staff, will include senior officials from the Ministry of External Affairs, the Joint Staff Headquarters and the headquarters of the three services.
The US multi-agency team will be represented by the Office of the Deputy Secretary of Defense.” It said that relations between the two countries have improved in the recent past and the defense dialogue is a manifestation of this.
