Pudhari Online Desk: An incident took place after some members of radical Islamic student organization attacked students belonging to the minority Hindu community celebrating Holi at the University of Karachi in Pakistan. 15 students have been injured in the attack. The attack on Hindu students in Karachi is the second such incident in Pakistan since Monday.
Regarding this incident, an official of Karachi University has confirmed that there have been incidents of attacks on students in the Sindhi section where Hindu and other students used to celebrate Holi by throwing colors at each other. Then some students attacked him and injured him. “We are investigating what happened. Such incidents are completely against our policies,” he also said.
A Hindu student covered her face along with other students and released a video on Twitter giving details of the entire incident. “The activists of Islami Jamiat Tulba (IJT) came and attacked the students who were celebrating Holi in the hall. They beat up some of us,” the Hindu student said in the video. ′′ They cheated the students. Because of this we started going to Tethoon. We have gathered to celebrate Holi festival. The government and the university should take action against those responsible for the incident,” she demanded.
The vagrants of Punjab Vidyapith would have prevented the students from celebrating Holi by the IJT workers. Otherwise 15 students would have been injured. The incident would have taken place on Monday when about 30 Hindu students had gathered at the law college of Punjab Vidyapeeth to celebrate Holi.
When contacted by PTI on the background of the incident, AJT (Punjab University) spokesperson Ibrahim Shahid has debunked the claim of student involvement in the incident. Pakistan
