14 people were injured in the terrorist attack

Karachi Police Chief Javed Odho also confirmed in a tweet that his office was attacked. He said that the security forces have given a strong response. Law enforcement agencies vacated the five-storey office of the city police chief after an operation of nearly four hours. Sindh government spokesperson Murtaza Wahab tweeted from his official Twitter handle that the building has been evacuated. He said, three terrorists have been killed. Four people, including two police officers, also died in the terrorist attack. 14 people including security personnel were injured in the attack.

There were eight terrorists in the building

Police sources had earlier said that eight Terrorist Were. Senior police officer DIG (South) Irfan Baloch said. Some of the terrorists entered through the rear side of the building, while two dressed in police uniform entered through the main gate. “We also found two cars with their doors open, one parked at the rear entrance of the building and the other in front,” he said.

Taliban took responsibility for the attack

The dreaded terrorist group Pakistan Taliban has claimed responsibility for the attack. The terrorists first hurled six hand grenades at the main premises of the Karachi Police Chief’s Office building and then entered the premises. The Karachi Police Chief’s office is located near the city’s main road leading to the airport.

Increase in terrorist attacks in Pakistan since November

Pakistan has seen an increase in terrorist attacks since November, when the Pakistan Taliban ended a month-long ceasefire with the government. Last month, a Taliban suicide bomber blew himself up at a mosque in a high-security area in northwestern Peshawar city, killing more than 100 people. Most of the dead were policemen.
