This was the biggest condition for getting the bailout package from the IMF that it could get financial assurance from Pakistan’s China, Saudi Arabia and UAE.

Recently, a Chinese citizen has been arrested on charges of blasphemy in Kohistan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. This Chinese citizen has been sent to jail on judicial remand for 14 days. He was flown to Abbottabad in an army helicopter due to security concerns. The police feared that the local people might harm them.
PM Shahbaz praised
Addressing a meeting of coalition parties, Shahbaz said that the IMF agreement is in its final stages. He had said that the army chief made a lot of efforts in this regard, in which securing financial commitments from friendly countries is the most important. Finance Minister Ishaq Dar had made an announcement before PM Sharif’s statement. He told that the UAE has assured Pakistan of one billion dollars. While Saudi Arabia had already guaranteed a loan of two billion dollars.

If sources are to be believed, General Munir will lead the high security delegation. Here the army chief will discuss security issues between the two allies. Both sides will also talk about the security of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) as well as military cooperation between the two countries. This will be the second high-level military delegation to visit China in recent weeks. Earlier this month, ISI chief Nadeem Anjum also visited China on April 11-12. Last month General Asim Munir had made his visit to Gwadar. During that time he had announced many projects. He was briefed on the current security situation, projects as well as efforts being made for peace and secure environment in the country besides security of CPEC.
