Pudhari Online: Voting for National Assembly elections has started in Pakistan. Mumbai attack mastermind Hafiz Saeed or Mulga has been killed in Lahore. Talha Hafiz Saeed has been defeated by Latif Khosa, a candidate supported by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party, by a huge margin from Lahore’s NA-122 constituency.
Meanwhile, former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party has claimed victory in the general elections and has accused Asun of delaying the election to make changes in the vote.
Pakistan Muslim League (N) and five main parties have entered the election contest. Maulana Hafiz Saeed, the main mastermind of the Mumbai attack, international terrorist and president of Jamaat-ud-Dawah or the infamous organization, would have come to power through parties like Pakistan Markazi League or in the election.
Hafiz Saeed is imprisoned in a jail in Lahore. He was sentenced to 31 years in prison for terror funding. Syedcha Mulga Talha is contesting elections as a candidate of Syed Markji League. He contested for National Assembly from Lahore NA-122 constituency. Hafiz Saeedcha Jawai Nek Gujjar is the ticket holder of Markji League. He has contested elections for Punjab Legislative Assembly.
Meanwhile, according to reports, Nawaz Sharif has won the election from Lahore. According to Pakistan’s Geo News, Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has won with 1,71,024 votes. He defeated Yasmin Rashid by 55 thousand votes. (Pakistan election results 2024) Yasmin Rashid would have been supported by Imran Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party (PTI).
