Nawaz Sharif, who is set to become Prime Minister, his brother Shahbaz Sharif and his daughter Maryam Sharif have won the elections. Nawaz Sharif has won from NA-130 in Lahore. Whereas Shahbaz Sharif has registered PP-158 Jagewar Vijay in Lahore. And Maryam has won PP-159 Jagewar of Lahore.
Voting started in Pakistan at 8 am on Thursday and continued till 5 pm. If more than 12 crore voters had voted, a public holiday would have been declared across the country. After the voting ended, voting started and after the mandatory restrictions were over, individual polling stations were opened. Imran Khan’s side is claiming victory over some candidates supported by PTI. He has been accused of tampering in polling stations and deliberately suppressing voting.
While voting for the National Assembly was about to begin in Pakistan on Thursday, terrorists bombed a polling booth in Lajja near Ghadwoon Anla. Seven policemen died in that. Nine people, including two children, have been killed in the violence that took place at various places in Yakheri.
