Islamabad: On Wednesday, Pakistan’s President Arif Alvi dissolved the country’s National Assembly i.e. the lower house of the Parliament. After this, Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari addressed the media in a farewell press conference. During this, the Foreign Minister of Pakistan spewed venom against the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi. Bilawal has repeated the same things which he has been saying often. Bilawal refused to put PM Modi at par with two former Prime Ministers of India, Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Manmohan Singh. After this he said many objectionable things for PM Modi.

Bilawal told India responsible

In his press conference, his pain regarding Kashmir also came to the fore, so as Foreign Minister he also defended his foreign policies. Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari criticized Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a double tone on Wednesday. In his farewell press conference as foreign minister, Bilawal defended his foreign policy. He said that India is responsible for the lack of progress in normalizing relations with India. Bilawal said that Narendra Modi is neither Atal Bihari Vajpayee nor Manmohan Singh.

Comments came apart from the statement
After this, Bilawal made some such remarks on PM Modi by taking the name of Gujarat which was quite controversial. He had made similar remarks for the first time on the sidelines of the United Nations session last year. Some people praised Bilawal’s statement while some said that it was not appropriate for the Foreign Minister to make such a statement against the current Prime Minister of India. According to Pakistan’s newspaper Express Tribune, his comments were also contradictory to his initial statement.

Bilawal’s statement will cause controversy

He initially emphasized that his foreign policy was based on three important principles. One of those principles was to follow a policy that was fair and not based on populism. According to the newspaper, his comment on PM Modi is a part of his renewed branding, under which he was seen trying to arouse the sentiments of the people of the country. The newspaper says that this comment of his is such that it will definitely give rise to some controversy.

Statement on TTP
Bilawal also listed several ‘achievements’ on the foreign policy front during his 16-month tenure. On the lack of progress on Afghanistan and India, Bilawal said, ‘What do you expect? We should bring change in 16 months which did not happen in 70 years. On the growing militancy in the country, Bilawal said that it is clear that after the return of the Afghan Taliban, the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has got emboldened. He warned, “If the Afghan Taliban accuses Pakistan, it will first harm its own people and then Pakistan.”
