Pakistan: Imran Khan will appear before the Islamabad High Court despite leg pain and swelling

Pakistan: Pakistan-Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan said in a statement today that he will appear before the Islamabad High Court despite pain and swelling in his leg. Explaining further, he said that he respects the court. A video related to Imran Khan surfaced in which he can be seen sitting on a wheelchair. He was using this wheelchair to reach his car going to Islamabad. Stating further, the PTI chief said that he is not one of those people who do propaganda against judges if they do not get a proper decision.

PTI chief Imran Khan further said that he had informed the Lahore High Court that there was a conspiracy to kill him. He further told that – for the first time this happened in Wazirabad, whereas, for the second time in the judicial court on March 18. A Pakistani media house reported that Imran Khan is ready to appear before a two-member bench headed by Chief Justice Ameer Farooq, which warned former PM Imran Khan of raiding his bail for his frequent absence from the court.

Ahead of the PTI chief’s visit to the federal capital to secure interim bail in nine different cases, security was tightened around the court with a heavy contingent of police deployed. Barbed wire and containers are also being placed to ensure law and order in the area. The police also banned the entry of unrelated persons into the IHC. According to Pakistani media, to ensure Khan’s safety, the district administration made elaborate security arrangements. Whereas, lawyers and journalists will be allowed to enter Court Room No. 1 through a special pass.
