Pakistan issues 2,843 visas for Sikh pilgrims on the occasion of Baisakhi

New Delhi: The Pakistan High Commission on Tuesday said it has issued 2,843 visas for Sikh pilgrims from India to facilitate their participation in the Baisakhi celebrations. Under the provisions of the bilateral protocol, every year Sikh and Hindu pilgrims from India visit Pakistan to visit religious places. Pakistani pilgrims also come to India every year under this protocol. The Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi has issued 2,843 visas for Sikh pilgrims from India to participate in the annual festival of Baisakhi to be held in Pakistan from April 13 to 22, the High Commission said.
According to a statement, pilgrims will be able to visit Gurdwara Panja Sahib, Gurdwara Nankana Sahib and Gurdwara Kartarpur Sahib along with other religious sites. Ambassador-in-Charge of Pakistan High Commission Saad Ahmed Waraich heartily congratulated all the people celebrating this festival and wished the pilgrims going to Pakistan a wish-fulfilling journey.
