Hizbul Mujahideen chief and US-designated global terrorist Syed Salahuddin was seen offering prayers at the funeral of one of India’s most wanted terrorists, Bashir Ahmed Peer, who was recently killed in Pakistan. A video of Basheer Ahmed Peer’s funeral is being widely shared on social media. In this viral video, Syed Salahuddin can be seen surrounded by Pakistani soldiers. According to reports, the last rites were performed at a safe place in Rawalpindi, Pakistan.
In the viral footage, Salahuddin can be heard vowing to destroy India as several Pakistani soldiers stand by to protect him and a crowd cheers him on. Let us tell you that the self-proclaimed commander of the terrorist organization Hizbul Mujahideen, Bashir Ahmed Peer was shot dead by unknown assailants in Rawalpindi, Pakistan. Intelligence officials said here that Peer, a resident of Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir, was living in Pakistan for more than 15 years.
Pakistan misleading FATF?
The shocking video comes months after the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) removed Pakistan from its “grey list” after more than four years. The neighboring country is still under global terrorism monitoring. The presence of the world’s most wanted terrorist (Syed Salahuddin) on its soil clearly shows that Pakistan provided false information to FATF about the 34 action plans given to it to strengthen its capability to counter terrorism.
