Islamabad: Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that it is a matter of shame for a nuclear power country that it has to beg for financial help. According to Sharif, it is embarrassing for him that he has to ask for more loans from friends. Along with this, it was also emphasized that debt is not a permanent solution for the country facing economic crisis. In the midst of all this, a funny clip is being shared by former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s party Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). This clip is related to India’s PM Narendra Modi and describes the situation in this country.

Government targeted on the pretext of clip
In the clip which is being shared by Imran’s party, PM Modi can be heard saying, ‘We have removed all the arrogance of Pakistan. He has been forced to roam around the world with a bowl. The funny thing is that Imran was trying to show the mirror to Shahbaz and his government on the pretext of this clip. Whereas in the year 2019, Imran himself was in power and PM Modi was telling the reality of Pakistan in an election rally.

persistently strained relationships
The year 2019 was perhaps the most tense year of relations between India and Pakistan. In February 2019, there was a terrorist attack in Pulwama in which 45 CRPF personnel were martyred. After 12 days of this attack i.e. on 26 February, India carried out an air strike in Balakot, Pakistan. Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists were targeted in this air strike. After this, in the same year, when India ended the special status given to Jammu and Kashmir, the tension increased further.

Pakistan waits for help

At present, Pakistan is eagerly waiting for the help from the International Monetary Fund (IMF). PM Sharif made a big statement in Lahore in the midst of the economic crisis. In a program of Pakistan Administrative Service (PAS) here, Sharif expressed his shame for asking for loan. Sharif said that it was a matter of great regret that after 75 years of independence many governments came but the situation in the country did not change. Political leadership or military dictatorship could not overcome the economic challenges.

PM said no debt solution
According to Shahbaz, foreign loans are not a permanent solution as they have to be repaid. Pakistan is currently going through the biggest economic crisis. If inflation is between 21 to 23 percent, then the fiscal deficit has crossed 115 percent. The country is getting help of 350 billion rupees only from Saudi Arabia and UAE.
