According to a report in Pakistan’s The Express Tribune, parts of the internal memo titled ‘Pakistan’s tough choices’ were released by the American newspaper Washington Post. If this is to be believed, Hina Rabbani’s warning to the PM is that Pakistan needs to avoid the feeling of ‘pleasing’ the West. Hina warned the PM that the country could no longer attempt to maintain a wedge between regional neighbors China and the US. In a memo, Khar argued that Pakistan’s attempt to preserve its partnership with the US would sacrifice a genuine strategic relationship with China.

No information could be found about when this memo is from. This US intelligence leak, which came to the fore recently, is being termed as bigger than WikiLeaks of the year 2010. At that time, more than 700,000 documents, videos and diplomatic cables were leaked on WikiLeaks. After this, the intelligence documents of America were leaked recently on social media. This leak has been considered the most serious issue of security breach. Documents leaked on a Discord messaging platform offer a glimpse into India, Brazil, and Egypt at a time when the US is no longer the world’s undisputed superpower, reports The Washington Post.
