Islamabad, 4 September (Hindustan). A Pakistani Navy helicopter crashed during a training sortie in Balochistan. Two officers and a soldier of the Pakistani Navy were killed in this accident. The army has started an investigation into the incident.
According to media reports, a Pakistani Navy helicopter had taken off for training in Gwadar, Balochistan, but could not reach back. A Pakistan Navy spokesman informed that the helicopter crashed on Monday during a training sortie in Gwadar, Balochistan. Two officers and a soldier of the Pakistan Navy lost their lives in this helicopter crash. The spokesman said the helicopter crashed mid-flight due to a possible technical fault. An investigation into the accident has been started. The spokesperson declined to divulge the reasons for the time being.
Pakistan Muslim League- Nawaz (PML-N) Senior Vice President Maryam Nawaz expressed grief over the helicopter crash. He posted on social media and prayed for the army personnel killed in the incident. National Assembly Speaker Raja Pervez Ashraf also expressed grief over the deaths and offered his condolences to the families of the deceased.
