Charges were filed against cricketer-turned-politician Imran Khan in an anti-corruption court last week. An arrest warrant was issued after Imran Khan was released with the summons.
Pakistan police on Tuesday used water cannons and tear gas to disperse hundreds of supporters gathered outside Imran Khan’s house to prevent his arrest. A worker of Imran Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party was killed during clashes with the police.
Imran Khan accused former Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif of plotting his arrest as part of the London plan to end all cases against him. Lahore Police on Monday registered a case against Imran Khan in connection with the death of PTI worker Ali Bilal alias Zile Shah in a road accident. Earlier, the Lahore police had registered an FIR against Imran Khan and 400 others for Shah’s murder.
– Imran Khan is ready to give a bail bond. Also, he has said that he will appear in the court on Saturday. He has said this in a video shared on his official social media handle.
