These days people have got some relief on the inflation front. Recently a report has come according to which there has been a slight decline in inflation in the month of January. This has also affected the plate of the general public. According to statistics, the prices of non-veg thali have become cheaper.

A report has come in this regard, which has been released by CRISIL Market Intelligence and Analytics (MI&A) Research. According to this report, in the month of January, the price of home-made vegetarian thali has become costlier by five percent on an annual basis, while the price of non-vegetarian thali has become cheaper by 13 percent. CRISIL has released this report on Wednesday.

According to the report, the prices of pulses, rice, onion and tomato have increased in January. Due to increase in their prices, thali has also become vulnerable to inflation. In view of the reduction in poultry rates, the price of non-vegetarian thali has come down. According to the report, the prices of onion and tomato had increased by 35 percent and 20 percent on annual basis last month. Due to the increase in their prices, the price of vegetarian thali has also increased.

According to this report, rice plays an important role in the vegetarian thali, the price of which has increased by about 14 percent in January. The prices of pulses have also increased by 21 percent. There has been no increase in the price of non-vegetarian thali, which is a relief news for non-vegetarian eaters. Let us tell you that due to increase in production in January this year, compared to the same month last year, the prices of broiler chicken fell by 26 percent and the cost of non-vegetarian thali declined. However, the prices of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian thali have decreased by six percent and eight percent respectively in January, 2024 as compared to December, 2023.

According to the report, the cost of vegetarian thali has come down as compared to December due to 26 percent and 16 percent decline in prices of onion and tomato respectively on monthly basis and increase in arrival of tomatoes. At the same time, in case of non-vegetarian thali, the cost of the thali has reduced rapidly due to reduction in the price of chicken by 8-10 percent on monthly basis.
