According to the residents, Pakistan has killed innocent civilians in Terinaut to pin the blame on the Indian Army.
Army courts increased panic
There were demonstrations here about a month ago as well. The army is often accused of human rights abuses and cases are now being prosecuted under the Pakistan Army Act. Due to the army court, there is an atmosphere of fear and panic among the people living in PoK. Apart from PoK, human rights abuses continue in Gilgit-Baltistan. Here too fear has increased among the people because of the recent arrests under the Army Act.

According to many experts, the people of Gilgit-Baltistan feel that the country’s government has taken them hostage. Sheikh Hasan Johri, the separatist leader of the Gilgit-Baltistan region, has also issued a warning to the Pakistan Army, demanding justice and equal rights. A few months ago, he accused the present regime of fascism and termed Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah as a terrorist.
