The search operation can be started anytime after getting permission from the legal cell to search the terrorists gathered in the residence of former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan. Earlier, the Lahore Police has got a search warrant to conduct a thorough search of Imran’s house in Zaman Park. The police has informed about this in a statement. A team including women officers will conduct a search operation on Imran under the supervision of the Superintendent of Police.
On the other hand, Pakistani Punjab’s Acting Information Minister Aamir Mir said on Thursday that the police team would conduct a search operation at Imran Khan’s Zaman Park residence in Lahore to nab terrorists in front of cameras after his permission. Earlier, Imran Khan was given a deadline of 24 hours to hand over the terrorists.

In three cases filed against him due to violence after his arrest on May 9, former Prime Minister Imran Khan said that fundamental rights have ended in the country. He said on this occasion that he will fight till the last ball. The Lahore Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) directed Imran Khan to be part of the investigation while granting him bail till June 2. One of the cases registered against Khan pertains to the attack on the Corps Commander’s House in Lahore.
Police allege terrorists are holed up in Imran Khan’s Zaman Park residence as part of a manhunt for those who attacked military installations following the May 9 violence in Pakistan. For this reason, the police have surrounded Imran Khan’s house.
Addressing reporters in the ATC courtroom after the bail, Khan said that he had never seen such action by the government in the last 35 years. Imran said that it seems as if all the fundamental rights have ended, only the courts are now protecting human rights. Khan further said that come what may he will fight till the last ball.
The arrest of Imran Khan by the paramilitary Pakistan Rangers at the IHC compound on 9 May sparked unrest in Pakistan. For the first time in Pakistan’s history, protesters stormed the Army Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi and set ablaze a corps commander’s house in Lahore. After that the government accused Imran of promoting violence. Police put the death toll in the violent clashes at 10, while Khan’s party claimed 40 of its workers were killed in firing by security personnel.
