Crude oil futures prices fall due to weak spot demand
Crude oil prices fell 0.8 percent to Rs 5,969 per barrel in futures trade on Friday as traders trimmed their deals following weak spot demand. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, the contract of crude oil for delivery in December declined by Rs 48 or 0.8 percent to Rs 5,969 per barrel. It was traded for 8.712 lots. Globally, West Texas Intermediate crude oil was trading at $ 71.85 per barrel with a rise of 0.38 percent, while the price of Brent crude was trading at $ 76.84 per barrel, showing a rise of 0.30 percent.
