New Delhi, 14 October (Hindustan Reporter). Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal released “PM Gati Shakti’s Collection” in New Delhi on the occasion of completion of two years of PM Gati Shakti. This compendium includes some of the best use cases showcasing the adoption and benefits of PM GatiShakti across the country.
In a statement issued on Saturday, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry said that the PM Gatishakti initiative has played a key role in planning about 7,000 km of expressways. According to the ministry, under this initiative, survey through GIS maps is being expedited in the last two years. This compendium highlights eight exemplary use cases on the adoption of PM GatiShakti and its benefits.
According to the ministry, this has expedited the final location survey (FLS) for the new railway line. Under this, FLS of about 400 projects was done in the financial year 2022-23 whereas in the previous year this number was only 57. The platform has also helped in detailed surveys for petroleum and natural gas pipelines. Through this, this process has reduced from six-nine months to just a few hours.
