PM Modi said in a post on Instagram that he spoke to President Putin and congratulated him on his re-election as President of the Russian Federation. We agreed to work together to further deepen and expand the India-Russia Special and Privileged Strategic Partnership in the years to come.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday held a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin during which they discussed strengthening bilateral ties and the “special and privileged strategic partnership” between the two countries. PM Modi also congratulated the Russian leader on his recent re-election as President. PM Modi said in a post on Instagram that he spoke to President Putin and congratulated him on his re-election as President of the Russian Federation. We agreed to work together to further deepen and expand the India-Russia Special and Privileged Strategic Partnership in the years to come.
The two leaders also reviewed progress in various issues of bilateral cooperation and exchanged views on regional and global issues of mutual interest. Discussing the Russia-Ukraine conflict, PM Modi reiterated India’s consistent position in favor of dialogue and diplomacy as the way forward. The two leaders agreed to remain in touch.
