Davos. Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said on Thursday that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made India the most trusted country in the world. He also added that global businesses should take advantage of this confidence and the strength and stability of the Indian economy. Vaishnav, in an interview with PTI on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting-2024 here, said that given the strong foundation laid by Prime Minister Modi, India can grow at 6-8 percent for at least the next 10 years. Will achieve growth.
He said that in such a situation there will be ample opportunities for everyone and in all sectors. He said, in meetings with business leaders, investment bankers, technology CEOs and other leaders, one thing that came out very clearly is the resilience of the Indian economy. People want to know more about it. Vaishnav said, people want to know in depth about the policies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. I have discussed with many top investment bankers and global CEOs how Prime Minister Modi has brought stability and strength to the Indian economy. They have given the economy a path to sustained growth. He said that under Prime Minister Modi’s watch, a lot of work has been done on the four pillars of the Indian economy – investment in infrastructure, emphasis on manufacturing, inclusive growth and simplification.
He said all global leaders agree that India will achieve 6-8 per cent economic growth for at least 10 years because Prime Minister Modi has laid a strong foundation for it. Vaishnav, Minister of Railways, Communications and Electronics and Information Technology, said that till now he has met more than 40 top leaders here and all of them said that the policies of Prime Minister Modi are right and it is yielding benefits. He said that Indian Railways plans to sign an MoU with Swiss Railways to learn from some of its best practices and procedures. The Minister said there are many good things, including some traditional technologies, which can be learned from Switzerland. He said that he had a positive meeting with senior officials and policy makers of Swiss Railways and also visited their control centre.
