PM Modi US Visit: Defense, Business, Technology and Strategic, what will be the deals in PM Modi’s US tour?

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has left from Delhi this morning on his important visit to America. Especially the agreement to make GE 414 fighter jet engine in India and the deal to buy American drones will give a strong basis to the defense relations between the two countries and it is expected in the US that this will lead to India-Russia agreement in arms matters.

What will be the deal between the two countries?

A wide range of issues including semiconductors, cyberspace, aerospace, strategic infrastructure and communications, commercial space projects, quantum computing and the use of AI in industrial and defense sectors will be discussed. During the visit of PM Modi, a big political deal of manufacturing 350 fighter jet engines in India is going to be approved. The signing of the agreement between American company General Electronic and Hindustan Aeronautics is likely to take place on June 22-23. After this deal, both the companies will manufacture fighter jet engines domestically. Initially, both the companies will make the engines of the plane. Whereas in future the engines of Indian Navy ships can also become a part of it. The most important thing about the talks about this deal is that India is insisting on transfer of technology for making jet engines with America. After this deal, India will be able to make indigenous fighter engines. Washington rarely shares with non-allies.

Why is this deal important for America as well?

The US which refused to provide GPS navigation to India during the Kargil war in 1999. Today he is ready to give the technology of his weapons. America has now come in such a situation that it is ready to do anything, but this deal should be signed. America considers India as a strong rival of China.
