The 100th episode of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s radio program ‘Mann Ki Baat’ was telecast live late Saturday night local time at the United Nations Headquarters here. India’s Permanent Representative and Ambassador to the UN Ruchira Kamboj tweeted, “Just the beginning. Mann Ki Baat is being broadcast from the Trusteeship Council at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.
On Saturday ahead of the telecast, India’s Permanent Mission to the UN tweeted, “Get ready for a historic moment. The 100th episode of Prime Minister Modi’s ‘Mann Ki Baat’ program will be telecast live on April 30 in the ‘Trusteeship Council Chamber’ at the United Nations Headquarters. Will be India’s Permanent Mission said, “‘Mann Ki Baat’ has become a monthly national tradition, inspiring millions of people to participate in India’s development journey.” Britain, China, South Africa, Chile, Indian missions in various countries including Morocco, Mexico, Congo, Iraq and Indonesia also made special arrangements to listen to the 100th episode of ‘Mann Ki Baat’.
External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, who is on an official visit to Guyana, Panama, Colombia and the Dominican Republic, also attended the special event organized by the Indian Community. In London, the live telecast of ‘Mann Ki Baat’ was arranged by the High Commission of India. Union Minister of State for Science Dr.Jitendra Singh, who is on a visit to the UK, participated in the event along with other officials from the Indian community and the High Commission. The Indian Embassy in China tweeted, “This is a new milestone for the Mann Ki Baat series. Members of the Indian community in Beijing join us to listen to the live telecast of the 100th episode of PM Modi’s Mann Ki Baat program.
The 100th episode of ‘Mann Ki Baat’ in Russia was heard at the Indian Embassy in Moscow, which was attended by an enthusiastic Indian community including students. The High Commission of India in Bangladesh made special arrangements for the telecast of ‘Mann Ki Baat’ in Dhaka which was attended by Indian students and community members. The program ‘Mann Ki Baat’ started on 3 October 2014 and is broadcast on the last Sunday of every month.
