Adani Power shares fell 4.98 per cent, Adani Wilmar Ltd shares fell 5 per cent and Adani Enterprises Ltd fell 21.61 per cent. Along with this, a 10 percent decline in the shares of Adani Total Gas Ltd and Adani Green Energy Ltd has been recorded in a week.

Adani group called Hindenburg’s report baseless

Here, sources are being told in the media report that the opposition parties insisted on raising the demand for discussion and investigation of the allegations in both the Houses of the Parliament on the matter related to the Adani group. The Congress and some other opposition parties have demanded that the entire matter be investigated by the Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) or under the supervision of the Supreme Court. Significantly, Adani Enterprises on Wednesday announced the withdrawal of its follow-on public offering (FPO) of Rs 20,000 crore and return of investors’ money. However, the FPO of the company was fully subscribed on Tuesday. It is understood that Adani Enterprises has taken this step after the report of America’s shortselling company Hindenburg. The Adani group had termed the report as baseless.
