After the success of Salaar Part One: Ceasefire, Prabhas is set to star in a horror comedy to be directed by Maruti Dasari. This film will be made under the banner of People Media Factory. The production house on X (formerly Twitter) shared a poster to inform fans that the title of the film and the first-look poster of the upcoming horror comedy will be released on Pongal. Along with the post, People Media Factory wrote, “Excited and have been waiting for this moment for a long time! Happy to present Rebel Star Prabhas in a brand new avatar. Will meet you all for Pongal.
Prabhas’ new blast
More details about the upcoming film including star cast, release date and trailer launch are still under wraps. Some media reports suggest that the film has been tentatively titled Raja Deluxe. According to a page on IMDb for Raja Deluxe, the film will also star Sanjay Dutt, Riddhi Kumar, Nidhhi Agerwal and Malavika Mohanan. The story of the film has also been revealed on the page, according to which, it will revolve around Prabhas’ character who tries to find the treasure in his ancestral property called Raja Deluxe Theatre.
Apart from this, Prabhas will also be seen in the epic science fiction dystopian film Kalki 2898 AD, which is directed by Nag Ashwin. Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone and Disha Patani will also be in important roles in the film.
Meanwhile, Prabhas’ latest offering Salaar is performing exceptionally well at the box office and in just one week of its theatrical release, it has crossed the Rs 300 crore nett mark across all languages in India. After the first week, the total collection has now reached Rs 308.90 crore.
Salar Part One: Ceasefire
Salaar is directed by KGF writer director Prashant Neel. Stars like Shruti Haasan, Prithviraj Sukumaran and Jagapathi Babu are seen in the film along with Baahubali fame. Salaar was released worldwide on 22 December in Tamil, Malayalam, Hindi, Kannada and Telugu.
