Central defender Dawson began his professional career at his home town club Rochdale in 2009, where his impressive performances earned him a transfer to the Premier League with West Bromwich Albion. Dawson made 15 appearances for the England under-21 team, scoring six goals. Represented Great Britain at the 2012 Olympics in London.
After Albion, the defender’s career progressed to a campaign with Watford during 2019/20, but he was initially snapped up on loan by the Hammers in 2020, following the club’s relegation to the Championship.
