Wang Xiaoping, Minister of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Guarantee, said that at present, 98 percent of people across China have social guarantee cards, and 970 million people have received electronic social guarantee cards. The services offered by the Social Guarantee Card cover government services, medical treatment and medicine procurement, transportation, cultural tourism and other areas of people’s livelihood. At the same time, it will gradually realize the “national card” and provide more convenient and comprehensive social guarantee card services to the general public.
Ni Hong, minister of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Construction, said the focus this year is to start construction, pay attention to quality and safety, and achieve concrete results as soon as possible. Under the new model, it is hoped that existing real estate companies can see that they will strive for higher quality, new technology and good service in the future.
As of now, there are 48.79 million primary schools, middle schools and kindergartens across China, with 230 million students and 161 million teachers, Education Ministry Minister Huai Chunfang said. Therefore, how well basic education is done affects the happiness of millions of families. This year’s government work report specifically mentions that China should implement actions to expand and improve the quality of basic education.
Wang Haoshen, head of the National Disease Control and Prevention Administration, introduced that 20 national acute infectious disease prevention and control teams have been set up across China. Wherever there is a major public health incident, the national team can be sent for immediate assistance. At the same time, to further improve the capacity and level of emergency response to infectious diseases, China will form five new national teams and build grassroots emergency response teams in all cities and counties across the country.
