New Delhi : Nifty-50 started with gains on Monday amid strong global cues. In this article, we have listed the top stocks which have seen price volume breakout. At 10:37 am on Monday, the Nifty-50 was trading at 18,145.15, up 117.5 points or 0.65%. On the other hand, the broad market indices underperformed the frontline indices. The Nifty Mid-Cap 100 index was down 0.15% and the Nifty Small-Cap 100 index was down 0.01%.

On Monday, the Nifty 50 started the week at 18,118.45 as against its Friday’s close of 18,027.65. This happened due to strong global signals. Major Wall Street indices closed higher on Friday amid strong earnings reports.

The Nasdaq Composite rose 2.66%, the Dow Jones Industrial Average 1% and the S&P-500 1.89% on Friday. On a weekly basis, the Dow Jones Industrial Average and the S&P-500 suffered their first weekly declines. These fell 2.7% and 0.7% respectively. On the other hand, the Nasdaq Composite rose 0.6% weekly.

As per data till January 20, FIIs were net sellers and DIIs were net buyers. Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) sold shares worth Rs 2,002.25 crore. At the same time, domestic institutional investors (DIIs) bought shares worth Rs 1,509.95 crore. The following stocks witnessed price volume breakout in early trade today.
