Meanwhile, India lodged a strong protest with the British government regarding the security of its High Commission and questioned the lack of proper security arrangements in the premises. Pictures of broken windows and people climbing onto the ‘India House’ building have surfaced on social media. Video from the scene shows an Indian official grabbing a flag from a protester from a first-floor window of the High Commission, while the protester is seen waving a Khalistan flag.

An explanation was sought from the UK for the absence of security arrangements that allowed these elements to enter the High Commission premises, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
