According to intelligence sources, India has expressed great concern over the posters carrying pictures of diplomats. The Indian Consulate in Melbourne has held two separate briefings with officials from the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) and the Australian Federal Police (AFP). According to sources, the Indian authorities are taking it very seriously and are in constant touch with the concerned Australian authorities. On Friday also, Indian National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval raised the issue of Khalistan in front of his British counterpart. Doval has made it clear that there should be no place for those who promote terrorism or violence in the name of freedom of expression.
