Ramaswamy criticizes Zelensky for seeking more funds from US to hold elections in Ukraine

Vivek Ramaswamy, who is running to become the Republican Party candidate in the US presidential election, has criticized the war-torn country’s President Volodymyr Zelensky for asking for additional funds from the US to conduct elections in Ukraine. Ramaswami has also said that he is on track to become the party’s candidate for the 2024 presidential election in the US.
In an interview with ‘Fox News’, 38-year-old Ramaswamy defended his statement in which he had said that if he was elected US President, he would cut aid to Ukraine.
“I also have a problem with appeasement, but I want to be very clear,” he said. We have to be equal to the American people here. “Just because Putin is an evil dictator, and indeed he is, does not mean that Ukraine is good.”
Ramaswamy said, “This (Ukraine) is a country which has banned 11 opposition parties. This is the country that merged all media organizations into one government media arm, whose president praised a Nazi last week and has threatened to destroy America this year if it doesn’t get more money. The country will not hold general elections in Ukraine.
Ramaswamy said he is on track to become the Republican Party’s presidential nominee for the November 2024 elections. “Six months ago, even five months ago, most people in this country didn’t know who I was,” he said. Now we are already third in the national average in many respects.
The Indian American leader said, “I think we are moving towards nomination. But for me it’s not about me. This is not about Trump. It’s about putting America first. I think this message is resonating across the country. It will take someone from a different generation to reach the next generation.”
In response to a question, he defended his decision to join TikTok. He said that people from the Democratic Party are also already on this platform. “We have to win elections to bring change in this country,” he said. I want to win big. I want to reach out to the youth so that we can implement policies like banning social media among children under 16, which I support.
